Dear Colleagues, and Guests,

On the behalf of Taiwan Orthopaedic Association, I am honored to organize the Combined 16th APOA triennial meeting and 59th Annual meeting of TOA.

By collaborating with the Taiwan Orthopaedic Association and the National Taiwan University Hospital, we have the best team to ensure a perfect meeting. The autumn sky in Taipei will provide the best atmosphere to accommodate participants of this meeting, which will surely a convenient platform for the elite clinicians, scientists, as well as researchers, to share their precious experience in the field of orthopaedics.

To attend a meeting in Europe or North America make you feel like a guest. But to attend the APOA Meeting and meet orthopaedic surgeons from Asian Countries make you feel like chatting with neighbors. The distance is the key issue: we are so close to each other.

Last WPOA Meeting held in Taiwan was in 1979, when I was just a resident. Thirty-one years later, 2010, APOA will take place in Taiwan again. As the president of TOA, I will be the host to welcome all of you to Taiwan, to renew friendship with each other, and to share your prestigious clinical experience with each other. We will show you around, with our warmest hospitality.

I hereby welcome you to join the Congress, to meet the best colleagues in the Asia Pacific region, and to advocate your expertise to promote the welfare of Asian people.

With the Best Regard

Ching-Chuan Jiang, MD PhD MBA.
